The rest of the world has discovered our island treasure in the past few years.  Three major items have just completed and/or are in the process of being built on the Island:

1. Mahogany Bay - Carnivals new cruise port.  http://www.mahoganybaycc.com/

  Mahogany Bay is a brand new cruise ship port scheduled to open November 20, 2009, celebrated with the docking of the first cruise ship, the Carnival Legend; a $64 million investment by Carnival Corporation.  The new Mahogany Bay facility comprises Mahogany Bay Plaza and Mahogany Beach. The Plaza area has:

- 22 retail stores including a large duty free store
- Three food and beverage outlets (1 bar, 1 coffee shop, 1 gelateria)
- Up to three car rental companies
- 20 craft huts/kiosks
- Total size approximately 44,000 square feet

Mahogany Beach has:

- Three themed food and beverage outlets
- two retail stores

There is a chair lift which connects the two areas, as well as a walking path

2.  Mega Plaza Mall  https://www.ladylee.com/inmobiliaria/main.html

- 65 stores:  Applebee's, Wendy's, Cream of the Trops (Homemade Ice Cream shop), Banco Continental, Tiendas Carrion Clothing Store, Super Mercado Grocery Store, Lady Lee, Bay Furniture, Paradise Computers. There will be alot more stores going in to this Mall.  The mall is open now.

3.  Casino

  A new casino is being built next to the Mega Plaza Mall.

Car Rentals
